Rating: G. Well, use of the word 'lover', but nothing goes on.
Summary: 100 word drabble, Caspian/Edmund. Edmund is leaving for the last time. Inspired by and based heavily on the song 'Against All Odds' by Phil Collins.
Caspian doesn't understand how Edmund can be so calm. How he can leave, without even a real backwards glance. Caspian feels empty. When Edmund is gone, there will be nothing left for him but memories, and he wants to dive into that warm, calm sea, and drag his lover back.
As it is, all he can do is wait. To wager on Edmund coming back a third time would be to bet against the odds, but Caspian has no other option.
He stares out at the little boat, willing Edmund to turn around and look at him one last time.
