Title: If A Tree Falls
Author: [personal profile] gmtaslash, principally Trojie
Fandom: Chronicles of Narnia (takes place during the Golden Age, the beginning of Prince Caspian and the end of The Last Battle. Bookverse).
Rating: G
Disclaimer: If we were C.S. Lewis, the Narnia books wouldn't have been for children.
Notes: Written for the great and glorious [livejournal.com profile] sedri, who posted Trojie a copy of The Crafting of Narnia, which this fic is inspired by. The plants mentioned are those used in the decoration of the armour etc of the four Pevensie children in the Disney film 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe' (but the fic is still more bookverse than movieverse). Betaed by Bridget.
Warnings: Things this doesn't contain (that our fic usually does): Angst, Mansex and Angsty Mansex. Yes folks, completely gen. And with what might pass for a happy ending if you squint.

They planted a garden on the day of their coronation )
Title: Sound Investments
Author: Trojie and [personal profile] ineptshieldmaid
Fandom: Narnia, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: We claim no ownership of the Narnia characters or settings; the only right we claim is the right to be completely insane.
Summary: The relative merits of different sources of income for a kingdom are discussed ... More crack. Same characterisations, more or less, as Artistic License.

How much did she cost? )
Title: All Your Fault
Author: Trojie (with ending supplied by [personal profile] ineptshieldmaid)
Fandom: Narnia, Golden Age
Rating: G
Summary: Edmund and Peter wander off into the forest in order to get away from Cair Paravel and all of its inherent irritations.
Notes: Drunkenness, mud, long words, inadvisable breakfast foods. Written in response to [personal profile] ineptshieldmaid leaping upon Trojie in gchat and demanding a story (after calling me 'Trojieface', I might add *indignant pout*). Beta-read by Bridget.

Perhaps the mud is my fault )
Title: Phases (working title) Draft Part Two
Author: Trojie
Rating: PG (blood, violence) Pre-slash
Notes: This leaves off right where the last one ended. It hasn't been betaed, unless you count me staring at it and rewriting bits for several months as 'betaed'. Even Bridget hasn't looked at it (cue GASP! from f-list). So, you've got comments? Typos, bad sentences, things that don't make sense, stylistic comments ... anything you have to say, I desperately want it.

writing a story where there are only really two characters and everything happens in the present tense is trickier than I thought )
Title: Phases (working title) Draft Part One
Author: Trojie
Rating: PG (blood, fighting)
Notes: Okay, here it is. A section of very raw original fiction. Please, any comments, on style, on continuity, on things you didn't understand, I want them.

Trojie posts quickly before she bottles out )

Title: Winter
Author: [personal profile] gmtaslash
Fandom: Narnia
Rating: G. Oh, probably a bit spoilery for The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe and Prince Caspian (books and movies)
Summary: One of those fics that just turned up and started nomming on Trojie's brain while she was trying to do something else. Was meant to be a drabble but refused to shorten up. Most stubborn story she's ever written. Edmund-centric, as usual, and also as usual ends up playing with the Edmund/Peter dynamic. The SIBLING dynamic, thankyouverymuch, do we look like incestshippers?

Beware, yet more Poignant Pevensie-ness awaits below the cut )
Title: Cruel Faith
Author: [personal profile] gmtaslash, and if we're being particular, exactly 98% Trojie, 2% Bridget
Fandom: Narnia
Rating: G
Notes: Trojie woke up this morning and this was preventing her from functioning by blocking up important parts of her brain. We think the 'Susan-thing' bothers most Narnia ficcers ... those not entirely consumed by writing pr0n that is, of course. We cling to the notion that ... well, you'll see.

Title: Go Me!
Author: [personal profile] gmtaslash
Fandom: Narnia
Rating: G
Notes: Inspired by discussions of how self-centred Peter can be and why this is totally his motto.

***

Peter kicked the unicorn into a gallop, knowing that Edmund was right behind him, two brothers united against the common foe. Treachery was forgotten. As they galloped into battle, he saw the flicker of a banner unfurling, bright scarlet and gold, and felt his heart leap at the sight of the Narnian colours.

After the battle, when he actually saw the banner, of course, treachery was right back at the forefront of his mind.

'Edmund!'

'Whaaat?' Edmund was in the middle of taking his chainmail off, but managed still to look entirely innocent and charming.

Peter couldn't find the words ... he just threw the banner down in front of his brother, the words 'Go Me!' emblazoned bravely in gold upon the crimson.

'It's very you!' called Edmund as Peter stormed off.
The Prompts Game: Bridget and Trojie set each other challenges for really daft ficlets. Here are the first four. Three stick to the original brief of one of us prompts and the other writes; the fourth required both our talents to bring to fruit. Pun really sort of intended there, actually.

Title: Cover Notes
Author: Trojie
Notes: I think this is the first piece of my original writing to see the light of day. Bridget has seen it, but other than that, I’ve been sitting on it for about ... five years actually. I wrote most of it in one sitting. It took me about half an hour, originally, and then I’ve looked at it every so often and adjusted bits and pieces. I’m quite happy with it. I like it. It is sort of inspired by Pink Floyd’s ‘The Great Gig In The Sky’, off the album ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ (if you don’t know it, go and ask your parents. You ought to know it. This album is STILL in the Top 100 Album charts and it was released over thirty years ago). It is also probably a tad influenced by Neil Gaiman, as I wrote it after I’d just finished reading American Gods three times over in two days and was a bit drunk on Gaiman. Whether or not it sounds anything like him is another matter, but this ought to be mentioned just so that blame can be laid. I’m posting this largely because I hope to have more original writing done soon, and I’m steeling myself to public reaction. Reactions and reviews always gladly received.
