More Narnia fic- a 100 word drabble concerning Susan, this time.

Notes: Trojie woke up this morning and this was preventing her from functioning by blocking up important parts of her brain. We think the 'Susan-thing' bothers most Narnia ficcers ... those not entirely consumed by writing pr0n that is, of course. We cling to the notion that ... well, you'll see.



Susan has to identify the bodies. She cannot help but think that, cruel as it is for them to be gone, it is crueller still to see them smile, happy in death. She knows where they are now - knows without any shadow of doubt. She longs to join them. But faith restored by harsh reality is of less value than faith followed blindly. She must wait for Aslan to take her.

It is a long time to wait. But there is no way around it. Cats play with mice for cruelty's sake. And, after all, he's not a tame Lion.

I have Big Deep Ideas about Caspian and the Star's Daughter's relationship which will be coming out in the sequel to the sequel of Loyalty, though, and Caspian did need an heir, and much as I love Edmund/Caspian, Ed can't give Caspian an heir (because my biology professors would line up and give me the smacking of my LIFE if I wrote Mpreg) so we need a woman in there SOMEWHERE.

And also, the parts of the Tolkien fandom where ficcers have their Magical Land Where All Elves Are Gay and there are no women piss me off something royal and I don't want to turn Narnia into that kind of cesspit ...

I have Big Dismal Ideas about Caspian/Ramandu's Daughter. As I often remark, Caspian might be gay, or he might be a bastard. It's hard to tell.

No, let us not fall into the Everyone Is Gay cesspet. Won't somebody think of the bisexuals?

I think Caspian is The One Big Bisexual Boy of the fandom. I won't bash R's D by saying he didn't love her. I'm sure he did. Just ... different to how he loves Ed. HE CAN LOVE THEM BOTH. Because ... I say so?

Of course, he could be a bisexual bastard, and she could be banging Drinian. Who knows?

See, I seem to be the only person around who has a gay Caspian. Everyone ELSE in my fanon is bi or uninvestigated, except for Lucy who is asexual. And Caspian is gay by modern standards but Fucked Up by Telmarine standards.

I *think* he's bi .. but to be honest, I won't know for sure what my brain thinks until I write the fic ... things have got twisted around on me before.

In contrast, most people in my fanon are Straightish-Bi and Lucy is ... not being thought about, to be honest. I'm pretty sure my Peter is straight (although I have thoughts about character development and him and 1940s public schools and ... it will get dark and unpleasant, lets' put it that way, so I'm avoiding writing it. Susan I'm not sure, because my brain rebels when I try to write romances for her.

Heh. My Peter is bi- statistically he prefers women, but the men mean something different, something significant which stands out to him. Only then he goes home to England, has a sexuality crisis because, DUDE boarding school, no girls, lotsa guys... CONFUSION. And then he rejects Caspian. Who then has a crisis, and rejects Edmund. Who then finds out, after having successfully shagged Caspian several times, that the initial rejection was because of Peter, and then HE has a crisis. Crises all 'round!

Susan... hm. Well, there's the Aravis thing. But I'm not sure where that's going, and we'll see when we get there.

I originally wrote the story arc I'm working on to include the Peter/Caspian fic I posted first on Narniaslash, but tea_fiend pointed out that, back in the day, *two* gay/bi brothers would have been highly unusual, so that's actually an AU of my primary AU ... but the idea would have been that Peter and Caspian had the chemistry LIEK WHOA but Peter was all 'I'm straight. I'm really really straight. I'm going to argue this even to the point where I'm up against a wall with you and minus my trousers. I'M STRAIGHT' and Caspian was 'But I really like Edmund ...' and gets swept up by fighting and pheromones and UST and then there's 'Oh my god, you were banging my brother all along!' on both sides....

Also Not To Be Done is the scene where the Witch comes for Edmund Pevensie: Edmund to respond with 'I'm Edmund Pevensie!' and Peter with 'No, *I'm* Edmund Pevensie!' and then Susan, and so on down the line.

But I also have this suspicion that she's all serious and deep and thinky and she knows about Edmund (even though Caspian thinks he's been terribly subtle) and she gets all wise about it and tells him its okay ... but i'm not sure about it.

I think my R's D thinks Caspian is in love with *Lucy*. Which Caspian kind of is. So it's all rather confusing.

Also R's D is halfway in love with Queen Susan the Gentle, via mythology and archaeology. Not sure how to write that.
